ISEPS ADVISOR/COUNSELOR SYSTEM

From the very start of a potential student's interest in ISEPS, we are ready to work with the Home Campus Advisor in creating a highly beneficial overseas studies experience, by mutually identifying said student's strengths, recommending suitable academic courses, suggesting appropriate outside socio-cultural activities, and proposing specific projects, all done in harmony with the student's background, skills, and experience. Without a serious Advisor/Counselor system in place at the study site, much of the potential for all learning and advancement through international study is lost. The ISEPS Advisor/Counselor is in place as a resource to ensure that each participant has a real person who is there to orientate and re-orientate him or her, through regular and individual meetings, in the unfolding reality of a foreign university and its distinct cultural setting.

A central element to this hands-on guidance and support is the unique ISEPS Advisor/Counselor system, which is a customized advising plan for each program participant. The ISEPS Advisor/Counselor works in concert with both the participant and his/her Home Campus Advisor with the shared objective of ensuring that from the very start the international studies experience has a maximum promise for greater success as a carefully planned effort to be undertaken by the student. Every ISEPS Advisor/Counselor has decades of practical, professional, and personal experience both in Seville and at the University of Seville.

At the moment of admission into an ISEPS program, the participant is assigned a specific ISEPS Advisor/Counselor. From that point on, the ISEPS Advisor/Counselor will answer all the questions of the student and his/her Home Campus Advisor, suggest solutions for any issues that arise, and plan the necessary support services for the student. Upon the commencement of the ISEPS student's study abroad in Seville, the ISEPS Advisor/Counselor will meet with him/her once every week.
